Basketball Recap: Mount Paran Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

If Atlanta International wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mount Paran Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Christopher Park. The Mount Paran Christian Eagles claimed a resounding 91-41 win over the Atlanta International Eagles thanks in part to Park, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points and seven steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Andric Parent, who posted ten points and six steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Atlanta International's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Zach Pemberton and Oscar Garcia-Ide. Pemberton went 7 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and five rebounds, while Garcia-Ide almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Mount Paran Christian moved to 9-11 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Atlanta International, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mount Paran Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-61 loss against Walker on the 28th. Atlanta International has also already played their next contest, a 56-28 defeat against Mt. Bethel Christian Academy on the 28th.
