Baseball Preview: Center Yellowjackets vs. Southeast Knights
Center is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Southeast Knights at 4:30 p.m. Southeast took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Center, who comes in off a win.
Center is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Central. Center never let Central get on the board and left with a 20-0 win on Monday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Blue Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Milton Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brennan Eubanks, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Lucas Westring was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
