The Floyd Central Jaguars won the last time they faced the Paintsville Tigers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Floyd Central took down Paintsville 65-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Floyd Central.
Floyd Central had a senior duo take command as Braden Moore scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals and Ronnie Samons scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least 25% of Floyd Central's points. Chris Spriggs was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Floyd Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Paintsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Floyd Central will head out on the road to face off against Clay County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paintsville, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Morgan County at 7:30 p.m.
