 There's no place like home for Berkshire, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinal Huskies  on Monday and snuck past  4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Berkshire also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Ethan Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Patrick Brancel, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lou Filby, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Berkshire's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Cardinal, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-11.
 Berkshire will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cardinal: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
