Basketball Recap: Fulshear's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Fulshear can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Alief Taylor Lions by a score of 54-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-44 back in November.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brent Johnson, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Johnson has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jineti Gure was another key player, putting up seven points.

Fulshear's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Alief Taylor, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Fulshear wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-40 victory against Alief Hastings on the 20th. As for Alief Taylor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-61 win against Galena Park on the 20th.
