Basketball Recap: Evans Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Evans unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 61-57 to the Hephzibah Rebels on Friday. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rebels 18-14 in the first quarter.

Isaiah Richardson had a dynamite game For Hephzibah., shooting 4-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Martavious Williams, who posted nine points.

Coming up, Evans will take on Academy of Richmond County in a tournament on Friday. As for Hephzibah, they will face off against Calvary Day at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday.
