Volleyball Recap: Royse City's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Royse City was the 2-0 winner over Round Rock Westwood when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Royse City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-23, 25-21.

Having lost for the first time this season, Royse City fell to 4-1. As for Round Rock Westwood, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Royse City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Dickinson on the 15th. As for Round Rock Westwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Northwest on the 15th.
