We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Neither North Broward Prep nor Stoneman Douglas posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

North Broward Prep's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past American Heritage 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now won three in a row.

Nate Hernandez looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he also posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, North Broward Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Stramanak, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Stoneman Douglas fell victim to True North Classical Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0.

Stoneman Douglas also got a good showing from Daniel Tartaglia, who didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Drew Freeman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple.

North Broward Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Stoneman Douglas, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.
