Basketball Recap: Lourdes Comes Up Short

Lourdes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dover-Eyota Eagles. If Lourdes was looking for revenge after losing 58-54 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dover-Eyota found their leader in sophomore Mat Matejka, who posted 18 points. Matejka's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alshawn Eaton, who had 11 points.

Lourdes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Dover-Eyota, they moved to 4-14 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Lourdes has already played their next match (against Cannon Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dover-Eyota has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Crestwood.
