It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Menlo School had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Las Lomas a 2-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for Menlo School as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Jackson Flanagan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Menlo School saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Freehill, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Freehill has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played.

Menlo School's record is now 22-8. As for Las Lomas, they moved to 16-12-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Menlo School will square off against Woodland Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. Las Lomas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
