Volleyball Recap: Rockford East Takes a Loss

Rockford East lost against Libertyville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The E-Rabs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10.

Leading Libertyville to victory were Jackson Kern and Alex Brown. Kern had 12 digs and two assists, while Brown had four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Brown a new career-high.

Rockford East dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Libertyville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

Looking ahead, Rockford East will venture away from home to face off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Libertyville, they will host Deerfield at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
