Soccer Recap: Aquinas Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cajon, Aquinas was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Xavier Prep Saints with a sharp 4-0 win. The score was close at the half, but the Falcons pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Xavier Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aaron Soto (2), Juguslav Vukicevic, and Michael Escudero.

Aquinas' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4-1. As for Xavier Prep, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Aquinas will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Canyon Springs at 9:30 a.m. on December 26th. As for Xavier Prep, they will be home for the holidays to greet Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Xavier Prep is facing Notre Dame at the right time seeing as Notre Dame is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
