Football Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft came into this matchup off a tough 47-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Payton College Prep Grizzlies by a score of 3-0 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 23-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2017.

Taft now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Payton College Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Taft is set to challenge their familiar foe Simeon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Payton College Prep will take on rival Brooks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
