Softball Recap: Whitney's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Whitney's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mart Panthers, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 5, 2024.

Whitney's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Mart, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats duke it out with the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mart, they will venture away from home to face off against Tolar at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Tolar is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
