Baseball Game Preview: Tipton Christian Academy Eagles vs. Gibson County Pioneers

The Tipton Christian Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Gibson County Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tipton Christian Academy hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Tipton Christian Academy fell victim to White Station and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 13-0.

Meanwhile, Gibson County came into Tuesday's game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Ripley on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Gibson County's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Myles Halford, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those two hits gave Halford a new career-high. Brayden Fisher was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Tipton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Gibson County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Tipton Christian Academy suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Gibson County in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
