Baseball Game Preview: King's Christian Knights vs. LEAP Academy Lancers

The King's Christian Knights will face off against the LEAP Academy Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. King's Christian will be strutting in after a victory while LEAP Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

King's Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Calvary Christian Academy last Monday. King's Christian was the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Calvary Christian Academy.

Sam Yoo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Yoo was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, King's Christian got a massive performance out of MJ Pancurak, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Pancurak has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, LEAP Academy came up short against The Pilgrim Academy on Monday, falling 15-4. The Lancers have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Jarrett Archie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Leandro Agulo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

King's Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for LEAP Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

King's Christian took their win against LEAP Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 23-3. Will King's Christian repeat their success, or does LEAP Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
