Softball Preview: Round Valley Elks vs. Heritage Academy Heroes

The Round Valley Elks will head out on the road to challenge the Heritage Academy Heroes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Round Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 25-0 margin over Valley. The victory continues a trend for the Elks in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won nine in a row.

Carla Arreola was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI.
