Basketball Recap: King's Fork Find Success

King's Fork entered their tilt with Grassfield on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over the Grassfield Grizzlies. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 37-35 loss the last time these two teams met.

Grassfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Thompson, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Priester, who posted 15 points.

King's Fork pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Grassfield, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 13-3.

King's Fork will take on Oscar Smith at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grassfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-46 victory against Indian River on the 5th.
