Basketball Recap: Landon Starnes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Borah

There's no place like home for Mountain View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past the Borah Lions with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 69-53. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Starnes, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most steals Starnes has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Tolman, who went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points.

The victory got Mountain View back to even at 10-10. As for Borah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

As of now, neither Mountain View nor Borah have any future games scheduled.
