Basketball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Pipestem Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 49-20 loss at the hands of the Victory Baptist Academy Saints.

Victory Baptist Academy was led to victory by Kaydan Mooney and Jada O'Neal. Mooney dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards, while O'Neal posted 14 points and five steals. Mooney is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sydney Thomas, who had seven points and ten rebounds.

Pipestem Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Victory Baptist Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pipestem Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Greater Beckley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will challenge Cross Lanes Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
