Softball Recap: Winnfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Winnfield strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Tioga Indians 21-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against the Indians since April 1, 2017.

Kaylie Callender and Addison Pharr did most of the damage at the plate: Callender fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3, while Pharr went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two home runs gave Callender a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Santana Harris, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Winnfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Winnfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Winnfield is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge North DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tioga, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m.
