Softball Recap: Fort Dorchester Patriots vs. North Charleston Cougars
Fort Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 10-4 walloping at the hands of the North Charleston Cougars.
Payton Brigman put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Brigman was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
In other batting news, Bayleigh Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Fort Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for North Charleston, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
