Recap: Madison Jaguars vs. Green Oaks Giants

The Madison Jaguars had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came out on top against Green Oaks by a score of 49-38. Given Madison's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Green Oaks is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison was led to victory by Ja'Darrian Williams and Amarrion White. Williams scored 15 points, while White scored 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which White has scored at least 25% of Madison's points.

Madison has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 7-1 record. As for Green Oaks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will square off against Delta Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Delta Charter is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Green Oaks, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodlawn-Shreveport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
