Baseball Recap: Henderson County Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Henderson County and Madisonville-North Hopkins have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Colonels lost 7-1 to the Maroons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-7 two weeks ago.

Henderson County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Evans, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Henderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henderson County will take on Castle at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will face off against Webster County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
