Volleyball Recap: Hemingford Gets the Win

While Hemingford didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Leyton Warriors on Thursday. The Bobcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Bobcats were just returning the favor.

Bailey Sellman paced Hemingford's offense, picking up seven kills. Sellman also shared the team's lead in assists with Tehya Buser: they picked up six each.

Hemingford's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Leyton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Hemingford and Leyton will both be playing Banner County the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Wildcats on Thursday, while the Bobcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
