Basketball Recap: Mauston Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mauston had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 win over the Wautoma Hornets on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Eagles have posted since December 22, 2023.

Mauston's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-13. As for Wautoma, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

When Mauston and Wautoma next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mauston will take on Wisconsin Dells and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wautoma will try to stop Westfield Area's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
