Volleyball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Liberty extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-8. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vista Ridge Wolves. If the Lancers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liberty's offense was headlined by Adaleigh Winterhalter and Kaia Booher, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Alyssa Willcox and her 17 assists. Finally, Makenzie Praytor kept Liberty's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

As for Vista Ridge, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-9. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Toryn Dempsey went supernova, getting 34 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coincidentally, Liberty and Vista Ridge will both be playing Pueblo West the next time they take the court. The Lancers will host the Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
