Softball Recap: Valley Beats Highland for Their Third Straight Win

Valley waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Highland Hornets get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Zoe Stallworth was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples and four RBI. Aleyah Lucero was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.

Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .650. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

The win got Valley back to even at 9-9. As for Highland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-5 loss against Bernalillo on the 15th. As for Highland, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-0 defeat against St. Pius X on the 15th.
