Basketball Game Preview: Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets vs. Saint James Saints

Having just played yesterday, the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets will get right back to it and host the Saint James Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Chapelgate Christian Academy came up short against Sandy Spring Friends and fell 77-66.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaiah Meadows, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Paul Ayivor was another key player, going 9-for-17 on his way to 25 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Saint James over Veritas Collegiate Academy in every quarter on their way to victory two weeks ago. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Saints blew the Spartans out of the water with a 102-54 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 59-33.

Saint James has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 87.0 points this season. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
