Basketball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Prattville Christian Academy was the 47-41 winner over Montevallo when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Prattville Christian Academy Panthers lost to the Montevallo Bulldogs on the road by a 57-40 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 172nd).

Prattville Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Montevallo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Prattville Christian Academy and American Christian Academy will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Montevallo, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Demopolis at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
