Volleyball Recap: Spring Lions vs. Clear Lake Falcons
Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Clear Lake Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Clear Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Celia Gafka led the charge by getting 13 digs and two aces. Gafka is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had seven or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Nguyen, who had ten digs and three aces.
Spring's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Clear Lake, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-13 record.
Spring will stay at home for another game and welcome Westfield at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clear Lake, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory vs. Sterling on the 7th.
