It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jesuit had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Countryside Cougars a 7-0 shutout. The Tigers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.
Vincent DeCarlo was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Robby Santana also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Jesuit's record now sits at 19-8. As for Countryside, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
