Knob Noster is a perfect 10-0 against Lexington since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Minutemen at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Knob Noster and Lafayette County, and Knob Noster kept the tradition alive. The Panthers put the hurt on the Huskers with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Lexington had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-2 win over Concordia on Tuesday.

Alex Kraft and Hunter Meyer made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Kraft pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Meyer pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. At bat, Kraft got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Meyer went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Lexington let Trey Perez and Kale Sander run wild. Perez went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double, while Sander went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those two hits gave Sander a new career-high.

The victory got Lexington back to even at 4-4. As for Knob Noster, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Knob Noster got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Lexington by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Minutemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
