Baseball Recap: Gosnell Wins Going Away Against Westside

Gosnell barely beat Westside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 20-4 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won nine matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Gosnell and bumps their season record up to 16-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Westside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Gosnell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against West Memphis on the 18th. As for Westside, they will face off against Osceola at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seminoles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
