Basketball Recap: Taylor County's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Hamilton County last Thursday, Taylor County came back down to earth. The Taylor County Bulldogs lost to the Madison County Cowboys at home by a 72-58 margin on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Louis Gaddy Jr, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 24 rebounds for Madison County. Gaddy Jr is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Micah Newman was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Taylor County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8. As for Madison County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Taylor County will be playing at home against Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Maclay likes a good challenge. As for Madison County, they will challenge Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
