Volleyball Recap: Sierra Grande Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sierra Grande was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Kiowa Indians. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17.

Eneria Quintana paced Sierra Grande's offense, picking up seven kills. Quintana got some help from Audrianna Gerardo and her 13 assists. Aleigha Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Kiowa found their leader in freshman Bernice Summers, who had 12 digs and seven aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Summers.

Sierra Grande's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Kiowa, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Sierra Grande wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Antonito on the 19th. As for Kiowa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Elbert on the 18th.
