Flag Football Game Preview: ALA - Ironwood Warriors vs. Heritage Academy Heroes + Official Tickets

The ALA - Ironwood Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Heritage Academy Heroes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

ALA - Ironwood is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They took down Leading Edge Academy - GEC 22-6 on Tuesday.

Among those leading the charge was Sylvia Willis, who picked up 31 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 54 yards on only seven carries.

ALA - Ironwood didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Leading Edge Academy - GEC to a completion percentage of just 30%. The Warriors weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 47.8%.

ALA - Ironwood's defense also made the game a nightmare for Shareen Liszak, racking up seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Emma Gonzales and Amy Martinez, who racked up all seven sacks between them. Gonzales got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Heritage Academy's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's eighth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let Highland Prep West get on the board and left with a 54-0 win. Considering the Heroes have won ten games by more than 22 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

ALA - Ironwood's record is now 3-9. As for Heritage Academy, their record now sits at 12-0.

ALA - Ironwood took a serious blow against Heritage Academy in their previous matchup back in October, falling 48-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
