Softball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover blew Green out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Green got their revenge. The Vikings fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That makes it the first time this season the Vikings have let down their home crowd.

This is the second loss in a row for Hoover and nudges their season record down to 5-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Green, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Hoover will head out to face off against South Range at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Green, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 1, the Knights 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
