Football Game Preview: Crawford Pirates vs. Johnson City Eagles

The Crawford Pirates will face off against the Johnson City Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crawford will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Crawford proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 49) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Rosebud-Lott 21-18.

Meanwhile, after only 13 points in their last game, Johnson City made sure to put some points up on the board against Harper on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 49-26 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnson City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jagger Slawinski and Mark Davis. Davis got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win got Johnson City back to even at 5-5. As for Crawford, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
