Basketball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

If Wells was feeling good fresh off their 52-30 takedown of Centerville last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wells Pirates were dealt an 85-11 defeat at the hands of the Broaddus Bulldogs on Wednesday. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Broaddus, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-4.

Wells will challenge Zavalla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Zavalla knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Wells likes a good challenge. As for Broaddus, they will face off against Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
