Recap: Saxony Lutheran Crusaders vs. Delta Bobcats
The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Delta on the road to the tune of 93-41. That 52 points margin sets a new team best for Saxony Lutheran this season.
Saxony Lutheran was led to victory by John Hartmann and Luke Eggemeyer. Hartmann scored 29 points along with nine rebounds and six assists, while Eggemeyer dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Hartmann continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Bucheit, who scored 11 points.
Saxony Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Delta, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saxony Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kelly at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Kelly is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Delta will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th.
