Softball Recap: Good Samaritan Homeschool Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Good Samaritan HomeSchool had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Word of God Academy Force. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Word of God Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Good Samaritan HomeSchool will face off against Zavalla at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Word of God Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Evangel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 20th.
