Baseball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

New Castle fell victim to Moore Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Sunday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. The Hurricanes just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row dating back to last season.

New Castle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Moore Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, New Castle will head out to square off against Ellwood City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moore Catholic, they will be playing at home against Sissonville at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
