Recap: Central Crossing Comets vs. Groveport-Madison Cruisers
The Central Crossing Comets fell victim to the Groveport-Madison Cruisers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 31-0 loss at the hands of the Cruisers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Crossing in their matchups with Groveport-Madison: they've now lost four in a row.
Central Crossing's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Olentangy and 8-2 Westerville North (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.7% over those games). As for Groveport-Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Crossing will square off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Groveport-Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against Hilliard Darby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
