Basketball Game Preview: Evansville Bosse Bulldogs vs. Evansville Harrison Warriors

The Evansville Bosse Bulldogs will face off against the Evansville Harrison Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Evansville Bosse was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-59 to Evansville Mater Dei. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Wildcats are ranked 281st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evansville Harrison). They took down Owensboro 78-63 on Saturday.

Evansville Harrison's win came from a few key players Evansville Bosse will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shane Sims, who went 10-for-16 en route to 26 points and six rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Brooks Thomas was another key player, going 8-for-13 on his way to 20 points and seven boards.

Evansville Harrison was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Evansville Bosse has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Evansville Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Things could have been worse for Evansville Bosse, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 80-65 loss to Evansville Harrison in their previous matchup back in February of 2024.
