Basketball Recap: Isabella Takes a Loss

Isabella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Greene County Tigers and fell 62-32. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-32 last Thursday.

Greene County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ronald Wilder Jr. led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 boards. Wilder Jr. is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Ja'Ron Lavender was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards.

Isabella's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Greene County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.

Isabella has already played their next game, a 66-22 defeat against Maplesville on the 28th. As for Greene County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-45 win against Greensboro on the 29th.
