Softball Game Preview: Caesar Rodney Riders vs. Caravel Academy Buccaneers

Caesar Rodney is 0-4 against Caravel Academy since May of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Riders will be playing at home against the Buccaneers at 4:15 p.m.

Caesar Rodney is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Delmar.

Meanwhile, Caravel Academy had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 3-1.

Caravel Academy pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.43 runs across that stretch. As for Caesar Rodney, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
