Preview: Northview Knights vs. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves

Northview is 0-1 against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Northview Knights will be playing at home against the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Northview and Indian Creek were almost perfectly matched up, but Northview suffered an agonizing 22-21 defeat.

Loss or not, Northview got some senior leadership from Kyle Cottee who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry and Tyler Lee who rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Cottee is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory made easy work of Terre Haute North Vigo on Friday and carried off a 48-27 win. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maverick Geske out in front who threw for 208 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes. CJ Harris was another key contributor, rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's victory bumped their season record to 4-4 while Northview's loss dropped theirs to 6-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday' match: Northview has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 333.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, though, as they've been averaging only 79.9 per game. How will Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory fare against such a dominant running game?

Northview was taken down by Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory 35-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Northview have more luck at home instead of on the road?
