Softball Recap: Metcalfe County Comes Up Short

Metcalfe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 21-0 to the Clinton County Bulldogs. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Metcalfe County's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Clinton County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Metcalfe County is set to challenge their familiar foe Cumberland County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clinton County will face off against rival Russell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
