Softball Recap: Mildred Takes a Loss

Mildred was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Hillsboro, falling 11-1. Mildred was not able to make up for their defeat to Hillsboro from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

Lilly Lynch was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.

Mildred's record is now 0-4. As for Hillsboro, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mildred will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Blooming Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillsboro, they will take on Itasca at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
